i tried looking it up but this is all i got

A group of white, mostly middle-class well-off kids who find imperfections in there life and create a ridiculous, depressing melodrama around each one. They often take anti-depressants, even though the majority don't need them. They need to wake up and deal with life like everyone else instead of wallowing in their imaginary quagmire of torment,

Emo is basically just another thing kids use to graph people in highschool. Basically its like Goth only the kids who are "emo" supposivly cut themselves and cry and what not. I tend the think theres more Emo Posers then Emos.

Meh I just been called this Many of times cause im quiet and wear some amount of black. I remeber someone even called me that cause I got cought up in thinking about everything in school, I ended up almost crying. So happens i was thinking about my mom.

Also for some reason Gay people have some kind of fetish with emos <_<;;

I should probably start wearing diffrent colors... guys hit on me too much...you must know how tramatizing that is ;_;

I mean.. Im all into that Gay rights thing and all but they cross the line when they start hitting on me -_-

Emo is basically short for "EMOtional" as David said

they are a mix of punk, goth, and rock, or some of them within
basically what they do is...

1) Think life TOTALLY sux
2) Think that the opposite sex just doesn't like them
3) Slashes themselves to make themselves feel better
4) Sometimes commits suicide, fails, and cries more
5) Cries a LOT at night

think of it as a "bootleg" goth kid who's life really sux because they make it that way
they have extremely long hair
act really childish or such like a dyke (lesbian)
has many slash marks on themselves
is hated by almost everyone
cries for no reason (sometimes in school)
wear really gar colored nail paints
and have really gay colored hairs (pink, bright red, etc.)

usually they confuse people for "gay" pride, but they are just doing "freedom of expression"

simple as that... just what David said

a little advice if your emo <----------------

and yeah they're basically wanabe goths. don't think that they are ANYTHING like punks. so many times people confuse things like pop punk and emo with real punk. real punk has nothing to do with the style of the music or the beat. when the lyrics voice an opinion about society, that's punk.
