There recently has been an exploit discovered in the Windows NT-based operating systems (2000 and XP mainly).
Microsoft has a patch scheduled for Thursday, but since this is such an urgent hole, I recommend downloading the unofficial patch and then uninstalling it when Microsoft rolls out their official one.
