Warpers

Genereal qrRO talk

Postby Hagios » Sat Dec 08, 2007 7:46 pm

Just was thinking about server changes etc.

Not sure how much public opinion has changed since the warpers let you go to any level of the dungeons.

Vote yes if you think that the warpers should only show like "Hidden Dungeon"

Vote no if you think the warpers should remain as they are, "Hidden 1, Hidden 2, etc"

It depends what we're going for. If it's a high rate server then all levels by all means.
If we're going for the low rate more authentic feel then it should warp you to the outside of the dungeon. Even then, I hate having to go through them. ;)

Disregarding the current poll status, most of the people I've talked to about this hate going through the whole dungeon too.

I just thought it would be a good idea to force players to prepare and respect dungeons a little more than our current situation.

What does it entail specifically?
Would we need to add any dungeons, towns to it?

Well yeah, not really any more work than needs to be done to update the current one. It's really not a big deal to do.

Its a load of fun for me to work through an entire dungeon with a friend.

Makes for entertaining leveling. :P

Making it warp just to the beginning of the dungeon is fine. Lets not be so lazy, we can all remember when we had to walk everywhere it just makes moonlight cards worth more money I think lol. I vote yes

Unfortunately you couldn't just buy 100 flywings and spam them until you got close to a portal.

Well mathematically speaking, a warp to another town would cost you 100-600z depending on where you were going, let's say it's the highest of the two that's the same price as buying 10 flywings. So clearly buying the warp off an acolyte is the better deal. However being the poor and lazy bastard that I was, I was saving up my money for other things (like those weapons in the store). Yes, those are actually expensive on a legit server. Solution? Hang around an acolyte with a "S.> Town Warp" sign until he gets a customer, then jump into it before he does!

lol, i remember those times, at it cost 600-2000 z at the highest, who in their right mind would waste 600-2000z in warping? , i'd rather just walk and save my money for something important, i remember saving up 750 resins from elder willows for my first katana
