Warhammer 40,000

Just gaming in general, of course.

Postby Cypher » Tue Jan 18, 2005 12:57 pm

im wondering if any of you own some models , codecs and rulebooks.
I hope you guys would be kind enough to post the rulebook pages here or something. Same goes with any codecs that you have.

Those of you who dont have the game and want to see what it looks like:
http://www.games-workshop.com

Im having a little hesitation if I want to buy the models or not ...

Strong Positive Points:
*Gameplay is awesome ...
*Models look awesome ...
*Better than your easily bent yugioh crap ...
Tournaments , Analyzation and Math Learning ...
*Tottally rocks if you ask me ...
*Know several peope who love the hobby ...
*Into modeling and that sort of stuff ...
*Army system and info behind armies are interesting...
Can think of a lot more stuff . but trying to keep the post
short .

Strong Negative Points:
*Price ... is ... expensive .....
*Too much money to waste on paint ...
*If you dont want the starter set,
*your going to have to buy the rulers, dice and rulebook.
*Codecs and Official Rulebook costs extra ... same with the
other items above ...

Be open with tips ... post strats and your experience on the game ....

Email me , if you gave up playing ... send me your stuff here in
Canada ...

I saw the starter kit and was like, "Cool, I'll get that." But It was like 50 bucks!!

and you said that it was better than Yu-Gi-Oh! because it is more durable, I shit you not I bought one figure and it was broken when I got it home because it sliped out of my hands and fell like a foot and broek in to. Also good luck trying to sell that stuff after you get tired of it, theres no market for it outside of E-Bay, unless theres something I dont know about.

I'm not saying that Warhammer sucks or anything but you should really get your facts stright before you post things like that. Shure the cards bend, but if you take care of them they wont.

I would have gotten into Warhammer 40k, except for the fact where I don't know anyone who plays it. I bought a BATTLEFLEET GOTHIC... But I was never able to go to any tournaments... It stinks... But hey, now I have some really cool ships sitting around my room. Warhammer is a real cool game. Too bad I don't live near anybody, eh?

Hey that works for me. I am kinda freaky.

I wish there was a way to play the table top version over the internet. Or is there? Wasn't there like a Warhammer 40k PC game or something?

Anyways, as long as you have someone to play against, thats good. I tried getting Kage intrested but he's a stick in the mud when it comes to table-top games.

Well I checked out some websites and looked at some kits. It looks like something I might want to play.... If I had some money that is lol. But the whole midevil thing is what I like so I might just play Warhammer.

Were talking about the table top game, not the computer game.
