Trying to start a server

When I click on the start_servers.exe the map-server.exe runs normally but the char-server.exe keeps disappearing and reappearing. Can someone help me?

go into command prompt "Windows + R" and then tpe in "cmd" <enter>
then type in "cd C:\qrROServer" <enter> *the qrROServer part might be differant for everyone
then type in "char-server.exe" <enter> usually it will give you some kind of error, or message of what is wrong.

are you on a router/lan network?

Yeah I am, I'm pretty sure that's the problem and I'm having trouble with rerouting; when I log into my router I go to Port Forwarding and then what do I do?

The instructions don't help; I need specific help for forwarding to port 6121

www.portforward.com will help with forwarding ports.
to discover why the char-server doesn't function properly, run it from a command prompt - don't start it normally. if it closes too fast for you to read, then you didn't run it properly through a command prompt. if you ran it properly, it would close, yes, but the window's echos would still be open in the prompt, allowing you to read up on what's wrong.
