So what is everyone up to?

Postby Mune » Mon Jun 22, 2009 3:14 pm

The point of this thread is to see where everyone has gone and done with their lives thus far.

I'll start.
When everyone left qrRO and the majority of people leaving the forums around 2007, I was entering my senior year of high school, and last year I graduated from high school. From there I went on to go to Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Funny thing about me going there is that I'm not religious. Otherwise I haven't changed much besides getting older and different from everyone else.

I've oddly been up to quite a lot.

Graduated from my Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, with concentrations in Game Design & Development and Database Administration, from RIT in Spring of 2008. Afterward, I continued on to obtain my Master's Degree in the same exact shenanigans in Spring of 2009. Now, I am staying at RIT one additional year to finish up my capstone/thesis deal and help out with the IT department.

After this, I'll apply to various other schools to see which one(s) want to pay me for a PhD by doing research. If none do, then my quest for a job begins!

Well after qrRO I started playing css and joined a clan. Then played a few other mmo's like Rohan Online, Perfect World. Now I've been playing Cabal or Left 4 Dead (looking forward to Left 4 Dead 2 coming out in November). ^_^ And when I'm not gaming, I've been reading..finally finished Brisingr (Inheritance series) and started reading the Twilight books (they're actually pretty good lol).

After qrRO I continue to cut class, and eventually dropped out and got my G.E.D, now I am in the Navy currently overseas on active shore duty.

Uhh I haven't changed much except far more busy with real stuff now as opposed to the straw stacking at BK's.

Oh wow. Did you manage to get your GED faster than it would have taken to get your HS diploma? I've seen that sort of occurring more and more over the years.

Where did the Navy position you? Very interesting :kakashi:

Yeah would of taken me 2 years to get my HS diploma, while it took only 2 months to get my G.E.D [Registration and waiting for my results took long]

as for location I can not say for the moment.

Man, how long has it been since all this started? 2003? Well...

Since QR bit the mySQL dust I graduated high school and moved to sunny Rochester NY where I attend RIT. Just finished my first year working on a degree in Information Technology. At the present I'm living in my younger brothers playroom back in California trying to scrap the funds together to return for my second year. Looking forward to living in my new apartment with mah new best friend and rooom mate daemon, and of course, being across the street from Codemaster. Currently hoping to break my Second Life addition by addicting myself back into shooters and mmorpgs.

The Big Bang Theory DVD proved to be one of the funniest comedies ever broadcast television. I had not laughed out loud this hard since the heyday of Frasier and Seinfeld - and BIG BANG is always great! Brothers and Sisters DVD The fact that this is a small man with a strong sense of an incorrect date and still lives with his mother insists on using a set of lines in the direct collection of advice columns of men magazine - and still bears the gift of God to women is hilarious. Grey's Anatomy DVD The show inevitably makes use combinations of old sitcoms (The Odd Couple, inadequate unrequited love interest), but even if you can tell them they are used fresh as everything else is good entertainment! The way to really enjoy what he is well on DVD. Writing is so intelligent and jokes fly as fast (many of them non-verbal), Bones DVD there is no way to enjoy it in its broadcast weekly. Well, Sheldon, but could then again, who can compare her intelligence with her? When I first saw this show, I laughed hysterically, but thought it would appeal to a wider audience? As time passed, the character development was great and the writing is always good. Desperate Housewives DVD As a professional physicist, I am also concerned about the accuracy of science. I recommended is that many non-scientists, and most are hooked. It is good to have the DVD with the episodes without advertising. I kept thinking that this show could not continue to be funny, especially when Leonard and Penny finally started a real relationship.
