well, the admin of slash is unable to run it temporarily on his computer, so he gave me his files and now i'm running it (hope you don't mind, CM) anywise, it shows on the list, but noone can connect you get "failed to connect to server" when you select it from the list. any solutions? anyone?

note:
here is the ss of the server windows, i think it shows the problem? it shows the very end of the windows in est, there is nothing after that in the CMDs.
note2:
after an hour, it said that "log.char" was a missing table...could that be a problem?

I recommend that you run the MySQL.sql file I include in the server package, then run his backup files.

hm... that doesn't work either...
i DID change the database used to 'ragnarokm' because that is what i called his data base when i got it on my computer. (having a blank database already and somehow being unable to delete it!) i changed the db lines in "inter_athena.conf" to the "new" db (his that i called ragnarokm) and as far as i can see, it is reading it fine with no problems. knowing some proggramming code i've looked at ALL of the "*.sql" files and can't seam to find where that "missing" table would be created.
now if you wouldn't mind giving me your "hours" so i can contact you on AIM, that would be appreciated!
i am in the PST time zone, so let me know if the times you give me are in EST (your time zone?) or PST, or some othere times zone (no clue why you would put it in any other time zone
)
