....D1 prix is way better than NASCAR

NASCAR gets bad reputations because it SEEMS like there's nothing to it.
If you ever step inside one of those cars, you'll see just how f**king tough it is, both physically and mentally.
1) believe it or not, those cars go f**king fast. they average 250 mph. Do you have any idea what that feels like? of course not. its not possible for you to comprehend that speed (street racers dont even touch that mark, and unless you're on a professional course, you won't get near there). Have you guys gone on a rollercoaster before? Guess what, avg speed on those are 50 mph tops. SO, you're barreling down a street at 250 mph. Guess what? YOU CANT BREATH IF YOU AREN'T PHSYICALLY FIT. THE G's (force of gravity) PRESSED AGAINST YOU IS SO HARD, YOU'LL BE LUCKY IF YOU CAN TWITCH YOUR NECK, MUCH LESS LEAN FORWARD AND ACTUALLY DRIVE.
2) Now, as Kirk so kindly added, these guys drive for 200+ laps. Do you guys hate long road trips? well, imagine how much pain these guys are in, driving for MILES AFTER MILES, ALL GOING AVG 250 MPH. Like i said, NASCAR drivers are athletes, even more so than typical athletes because of the mental strain on them as well.
That's enough rant for today. NASCAR is a sport. End of story.

Moron no NASCAR driver drove 250 MPH ever! in circular courses, last time i heard the fastest was 173 or something (not sure) , when you drive through the course you need to lower your speed upon turning through curves to avoid drifting that could result a mean ass tire explosion and you might lose your control over the steering wheel, so NASCAR never had stable or permenent speed. About rollercoasters in Cedar Point Ohio they have this one called Dragster that does about 120 mph, about drag racing? my friend did 190 mph on the freeway.
NASCAR sucks D1 PRIX rules!

@kirk
drifting is intentional when it isn't it's called fishtailing and/or oversteer and thats what those drivers try to avoid, and it dont matter if they drift they still go in for tire changes so stop ranting about stuff your obviously dont know about

CrimsonBlade @ Sep 15 2006, 01:40 PM wrote: my mistake what i meant to say was they dont or rather cant drift,just cuz your cant afford one dont mean other people cant

CrimsonBlade @ Sep 16 2006, 04:52 PM wrote: they cant drift cuz one drift means its controlled and because of the tires they use (slicks) they cant drift if cuz their tires dont have enough grip
