"Pizza Hut" => "The Hut"
"Radio Shack" => "The Shack"
"SciFi" => "SyFy"

anyone else find these all as really bad name changes?

Edit: Phew, okay, at least Pizza Hut is just -adopting- "The Hut" as a secondary name... or something

That's what I was kind of thinking, actually.
If they continue with the name change, they should totally use him in their commercials.

"Yo, Shaq uses capacitors and cables from 'The Shack'"

Yeah,I find SciFi changing to SyFy quite retarded. It's like saying thx instead of thanks. Did really know about radio shack changing. But calling it "the Shack" is a bad call. doesn't really tell you what kind of place it is. Like if you never knew what type of place it was before hand, you wouldn't really go into a place called the shack.
Though a lot of channels are changing there names like SciFi did.

Supposedly "SyFy" was copyright-able, while "SciFi" wasn't, since it was a genre.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I saw the name change. Had to do with copyrighting. Usually is half the time when something changes names.
