Job Quests

Genereal qrRO talk

Postby Hagios » Fri Dec 07, 2007 11:32 am

Ok before you go on about how "annoying" and "time consuming" job quests are here out the proposal codemaster and i have discussed:

In simplified form we could have 3 possible ways to change classes:

1.Doing the actual job quests (duh) (depending on updates may need to create custom quests for extended classes)

2.Set up an npc specific to each class near the location of the job quest (ie: the class's guild hall) and require a nominal fee + necessary job level to change class

3. Keep the current qrRO job changer (the ones in the middle of town) and charge a premium to change classes [essentially paying for convenience]

We were thinking of implementing all 3 initially.

Voice your concerns, opinions, and any suggestions to improve the overall process of changing jobs.

Voted Job Quests, reason being that this is the RPG on Ragnarok, and on a low rate server I think that the challenge would make it more realistic and more fun. True, it is more time consuming, but I'm not one for taking the easy way out and spending all my time just grinding for levels. That focus is dull.

I understand that sentiment, and for those who do not want to pay their way to advance do the job quests.

However, this situation is sorta like the real world. Hahaha...You can work your butt off to become successful, or just pay your way through life!

Anyways, we'll be taking into consideration this poll, but mostly what people actually DO during the initial playing of the game.

I like doing job quests sometimes cause you can get free stuff and probably learn more about each jobs' history.

Unless its a rediculous amount to pay for a job change, I'd suggest you don't put that in.

...I'm a bit tired of just strolling up to an NPC and instantly changing jobs.

someone should put a job quest guide on the forums and pin it, its not as if everybody knows where certain npc's are hidden, ex the acolyte quest where you have to find those npc's, assassin quest( nobody goes to the sandman ruins anymore, nobody knows where it is! atleast the new folks who we are supposedly encouraging to play)
