Learning all the common terms of the internet is almost like learning a second language. I've been browsing for years and I doubt I know half of all the abbreviations, l33t speak and so on.

I personally prefer good, legible grammer above all else, but I'm not that anal about it. However, there are some internet terms I despise, no matter how common they might be.

1. LOL: I hate LOL, I HATE it, and all deviations of lol, like rofl, lmao, lolz, and anything else. I just hate the way it sounds. Say it like a word, like lolipop, or spell it out as L.O.L, it still sounds annoying to me. And it's used WAY too often. I highly doubt most of the people who type lol are literally "laughing out loud".

2. OH NOES: I can't stand this one either. I'm not too sure what it signifies, I assume it's just a sarcastic remark. But it's another one that I find annoying to say or read.

3. U as You: Uggh, this is probably the worst. My youngest sister uses it like crazy. It's a lazy, poor method to save time, and it just looks retarded.

Terms I've gotten used to and use during chat are OMG, WTF, and owned/pwned/pwnd, and kk. Those three I'll never accept, and refuse to use.

Hmm I hate the term "PLZ" and "THX". Hehe I use it sometimes when i say "KKTHXBI" buh onlee as a joke. Saying "plz" and "thx" are also ways to show laziness.

TO THE "PLZ" PEOPLE:

Whenever someone wants to put you out and waste your time, they always indicate their urgency by typing "plz" because those extra three letters would take forever to type. Using hands would involve taking one out of his ass, and the other from around Mr. Happy. My question is, what is the PLZMaster eating? Does PLZMaster wash his hands first?

Don't you ever feel like a moron saving valuable time typing PLZ, when your sorry gimp ass can waste everyone else's night just by existing? I hope your favorite skill gets nerfed. I hope your favorite server crashes for hours at a time. I hope your hand gets caught in your zipper. I hope you move somewhere and get stuck with a top speed of 28.8.

Mostly, I wish you'd just stop talking. Plz.

I could make a post a lot more posts if I only typed every third letter.

Like most of you people, I hate it when someone says pls.

But i hate it more when someone just says thx instead of thanks. After you help someone then they just say thx for what you did, its so annoying.

ALSO, when people take "shortcuts" in their own typing. And never bother to write down the whole world correctly. Like for example on this quote:

It's people, not "ppl" When I read this, I read "pull?"

It's such a loser's life to not able to write Thanks, people, I (it's not i it's I).

I hate it when people say "LOL" even though nothing's funny. Also most people using the term dont even know what the three letters stand for...*sigh*
And this "lmao", I encountered this term first on another online game. At first i thought it was a Portuguese word because i read it as "IMAO"...(silly me...eh)

i think "lol" is pretty ok. cause, if you write out "haha" or just "heh" it doesn't really represent how you feel. "heh" is like "nice, but i'm unimpressed."

but about the "plz" and "thx"... it really is annyoing if you help someone out and they just type "thx" -_-
