Well.. I'm planning on getting a Nintendo DS Lite. Their a little expensive, seeing that I don't have a job and im only 15 . But I've saved up some money to buy something. As I said before I was looking at the DS looks really nice and stuff, but after buying a GameCube I have lost some hope in Nintendo. The DS and Wii have brought my attention back. I looked in the Nintendo Forums, Looks at game reveiws and they seem alright.

So before I buy a DS I wanna make sure this is gonna be worth while. This is where you guys come in and help out. I'm asking for you guys to post some of your favorite DS games so that I could check em out.

Name of Game: New Super Mario Bros.
Genre: Adventure/Side Scrolling
Game Play: Well...its super mario bros. but 3d, new items, different levels, and fun!
Online Play: There are two modes. Up to 4 people can play mini games, which WILL keep you addicted for hours. And there is Mario Vs Luigi mode, which is both players on one looped map (If you go all the way to the right side, you come out the left, and vice versa) its a battle to see who has the most stars at the end of the time. They appear randomly, and you do this while getting items and stuff. (Note: I think this game is only DS - DS and not WiFi, I haven't confirmed this yet, so dont kill me if it isnt)
How Much time did you spend on that Game?: Atleast 30 hours by now. (I've had it for little over a week, maybe?)
Overall Rate: 8 1/2 outta 10





Name of Game: Lost Magic
Genre: I dunno, action, kinda
Game Play: You play as a kid who has been brought up by some witch thing. You have a magic wand, and you have the ability to cast spells by holding "L" and drawing the specific rune you want to cast. There are a total of 18 runes you get along your journey (3 fire, 3 water/ice, 3 wind, 3 earth, 3dark, 3 light) You then draw the specfic rune, and wah-lah. But once you get further in the game, you have the ability to draw two runes, thus creating new spells. And even further you have the ability to draw three at once (all while holding L) To cast even more spells. This creates the possibilty for 400+ different spells. And the order matters, so like Fire Fire water wont yield the same spell as Water Fire Fire or Fire Water Fire. Ontop of the fact you have yourself, you have the ability to have little mobs of mosters you catch using level 1 dark spells. The movement system is similar to that of an RTS. Its an above view game, and you click on your character, then click the spot to move him. When selection multiple characters you click, hold, and drag to get a group.
Online Play: I haven't tried it yet, but im pretty sure its just battling between two characters over WiFi or DS connect
How Much time did you spend on that Game?: Atleast 20 hours by now, have had it for 5 days or so.
Overall Rate: 7/10 The game can get frustrating, the battles are timed and such

I'm planning on buying New Super Mario Bros. Cuz it looks fun and ever forum I posted this kind of topic someoen has ALWAYS mentioned it first. Although the game doesn't have many worlds. I think 6 and 5 levels in each world so that 30 diferent levels.

I never really looked at Lost Magic. I saw the title at IGN but just the Magic in the title though me off. And I don't think I'll buy it

So Far I've looked into all reveiws I could find and I've made up a little list that I'm Gonna Get...

Animal Crossing: Wild World
Advanced Wars: Duel Strike
Sonic Rush

I've looked at atleast 5 little video things of Animal Crossing and it looks amazing and fun, but the thing thats dissapointing it thats its not a full Online Game. You have to give someone your "Friend Code" so that they could come to your town, The reason why they made it so that you have to give out your friend code is because random poeple won't come in and steal your items or ruin your town in anyway. I would recommend Just following people around and watching their movments unless it one of your friends. Looks like a Great game.

I was thinking... Ragnarok DS anyone? Would be pretty neat..

lol, ragnarok DS, that would be pretty sweet, but i don't think it would work...

The only thing I can say bad about new super mario bros. is that it was short, besides that it was great, but I love the multiplayer stuff xD

You might wanna check out metriod prime hunters, i hear it's good, i mean all my friends have it and are addicted to it <.<, i don't have it just because 1. i don't really play my ds anymore (not that it isn't fun, just busy and other stuff, in fact, if i had more people to play where i live i would probably play it more) and 2. never really interested in the metriod franchise (though people have told me to get into it)

nice move on advance wars =D absolutely love the game, still haven't completed the file.... almost beat hard campaign, but the only time i really play it is when i'm in california o.o. Dunno why that is, probably because it's the only place i have someone to play against, oh well, still an awesome game.

Animal crossing...eh well, it kept me entertained for a couple months...personally though, it got boring after a while because it was really really repetitive and there wasn't much to do, hmm kinda like harvest moon!

Mario kart, pretty fun, for some reason i lost interest in it though...

never played sonic rush, can't give you an opinion on it.

The Opera web browser is coming out for it sometime soon.
As is StarFox DS and Harvest Moon DS.
So far, I have a few game recommendations:
- Animal Crossing is good, but gets annoying after a bit
- Metroid Prime is good, but has bothersome controls
- Guilty Gear is so-so
- Mario Kart is awesome, a must-buy
- The DS can play GBA games, so that's a definite plus.

The GameCube is a great console; if it "turned you off" you didn't spend much time looking for any good titles

w00t, Starfox DS =O. It better not suck, like those crappy controls in Starfox Assualt. Harvest moon....eh, they are getting VERY repetitive...seriously, more so than Animal Crossing.

Ewww Don't get advanced wars dual strike.

I mean, It was fun, they added some more multiplayer functions, but other then that its boring.

They barely utilaize the top screen, all the top screen is an air battle that the NPC's fight out. You have the ability of sending planes and shit up there, but, theres no real point (Other then to try to win and get a uh, Hell I forgot, some kinda boost to do your characters 'power')


I liked the first too, and just got bored with the third.

Anyways, Ya I lookd into Metriod seems fun I'll add it to my list.
