well im new and when i play i only see 15 people and they are on Nu , we should make it + popular by telling it on internet and other servers of RO ,i say that cuz my friend (vibe.) told me that they were like 1000 ppl thats were playing but there were no updates so they stopped playing.

we got 2 more class and many change, why not try to get more ppl ^_^

Yeah 1000..? the max was 60 on at time, and that usually wasn't even met.

I don't think CM particularly wants a flood of players anyways...I mean, it's not that his server can hold all that many people. Of course, nobody plays on Slash or Cyrus all that often, so they could take some of the load if there happened to be more players...i mean, it would be nice if the server count was a average 20+ at LEAST, but meh, i really couldn't care...

Uhhh Don'tcha this topic is in teh wrong section? Well yeah the servers are usyally loaded with people, I don't know what happened now...Or just because some people doesn't like how qrRO now >,<.

We had almost 100 players then, with different timezones though those days we had a 50 players cap........some stayed in other servers we had such as Flea

Did it ever occur to you he meant another private server had 1,000+ players by advertising? We never had 1,000... His wording was just a bit off.

Well, I'm not too high up on advertising (it bothers the hell out of me when people are all "lawl, come to MY website" or "d00d my [website, game, whatever] is the coolest").

Nonetheless, I plan on advertising a bit when I update the QR site and such, so we'll see what goes on then.

If you all would like to notify your friends, though - that is the best advertising I can get, because word-of-mouth (or of typing) is better than anything banner or image advertisement.

i think.. to get normal players not horny teens and idiots the advertisement should be simple and honest like "feel free to join qrRO a little outdated ragnarok online private server with a small and friendly community" :lol:

Word of Mouth is one of the best advertisments..

The Ratio of Word of mouth is..

If someone likes lets say a restaurant they would tell about 5 people thats its good.

If someone DOESN'T like the restaurant they would tell about 16 People that its crap..

Lots of businesses are successful off of word of mouth.

Although for online games its a little bit harder.

1. You can't get it in store.
2. People arn't going to type in "Quantum Raiders" in Google.
3. It takes a while to Download Ragnarok.
4. Theres other Online Gaming competition.

Sure its fun and all. But I think that qrRO needs some help in the advertising part. I've told people about it and stuff and convinced some of my friends to join.
Anyways I hope we can pull something together.

Indeed.
The major barrier for me when I wanted to play the game was its size.
(1.6gb is kinda overwhelming when your on dialup<.<; )
So my friend found a way to get me it, so i didnt have to download it.
Besides that I probably would have never played.
