I have a dell laptop, and reformatted the HDD on another Laptop. You can switch HDD's on desktops and expect no problems, why are laptops different? Is there an operating "switch" it consults? Or it is something else. WinXPpro has drivers for EVERYTHING, so why would it be any different if I just CHANGED everything on this laptop, and tried again? It would be no different than if I switched it. so why would it not work?
Oh, and if anyone has a spare DELL LATTITUDE C cd-rom drive for a laptop...I would appreciate it greatly...some people have grave-yards...for computer parts...beyond me...
I understand the programming aspect of this solution, but it has really no "logical" reason why this would be...*pout*
