Before you even replay to this thread, please read the whole post so you know what you are posting about.

I've been thinking about this last night.

I see alot of hunters that love to DS Spam. Meaning, the only attack like they know, it's Double Strife.

I'm not saying Double Strifing is bad, but it seem that they are dependent on it. I'm here to show you, how to be coming a Sniper, without having to use the following skills. This is on NU server mainly.

1. Double Strife
2. Arrow Shower
3. Ankle Snare
4. Any of the trap skills as a hunter

Thanks to the very high rates on this server, going from novice to sniper has been very easy without the use of any of those skills. What I really want people to know, is they don't have to be dependent on those skills.

The Novice stage

This mini novice guide can be used for any novice. The problem most players have in RO, that they are impatient. Now, I do now know if many of you know about this. But the Fabre area in the trianing ground is THE place to level up any novice. Why?

Listen very well you beggers. The training ground has an area with only aggo Fabres. Plus thanks to the high rates, they drop alot of Fabre's Cards and Emrealds. As a novice,

1. Get those cards and use them on you knife to get over 300HP while still in base level 1 or 10.
2. Get alot of Emrealds, you'll be needed them to sell for your next weapond.

While here, mass killing the Fabre's for about 10 to 20min until you are Base 20. In NU, your Job lvl will be at 2 or 3. Also on this area, rise your main important stats. On this case for an Sniper:

ONLY PUT YOUR POINTS ON DEX ONLY! NEVER EVER PUT INTO AGI SO EARLY IN THE GAME!!

You'll soon learn why not to put into AGI yet. Once you get to level 20, 20mins Head to pornt and kill some porings or pupa to quickly get to Job lvl 10. Then become an archer.

The Archer

Sell your "hard earn" emrealds for zeny and get the regular bow and some sliver arrows. You don't need any other bow, just the normal bow. That is all you need. Trust me. Head to Payon Dun lvl 1.

Kill 5 Skeletons

The high rates of the server will give you amazing amount of EXP!! Don't worry about getting hurt, the frequant level change will always restore your HP and SP.

And the skills that you need,

Read carefully!! Get the following Skills IN ORDER!


1. Max out Vulture's Eye - You need the distance to give to the monster so they can take time to reach you. Since you are ONLY rising your DEX at this point on, let the powerness of your arrows do the dimage.

2. Max out Owl's Eye - Get the extra DEX as soon you can shoot from far ways.

3. Max out Improve Concentration - This will give you that extra boost.

Once you Max out those completely, then you are ready to go to another Dun. 25min

Remember, you are ONLY rising your DEX at this point, nothing else. Sell some items that you have, get some more sliver arrows and head to your final part of your journay as a Archer. Head to the Orc Dun lvl 1. '

Shoot some Orc Zombies, and be amazed at the level gain compared to the Payon Dun. Remember, only add to DEX and then you can get Double Stife and Arrow Shower. Yes, that means you have to go to Job Level 50. What is so hard about that? It won't take that long.

Okay, as you get getting to Job lvl 50. At this point, your DEX is almost at 80. Once it get to 80 (You are at Base 48- 50) then you can start adding to AGI. Keep adding to AGI for every level gain, until you get to Job lvl 50. Also, remember not to use Double Strife, you don't need it.

Once you get to Job 50, go back to pornt, get your 1 million zeny. And change to Hunter. Now what do to as a Hunter?

The Hunter

Well, you need to level you first of all your job lvls. Go back to the orc Dun 1 and shoot some orcs untill you get in any order:

1. Beast Bane
2. Falcon Mastery
3. Blitz Beat
4. Steel Crow

This won't take long, and you don't even need your falcon yet. On the trap skills, when I was a hunter, I didn't put any points on any trap skills. In fact, I'm a sniper now and I never ever gotten the trap item.

As soon you get those skills, You should have some AGI. At this point NOW, you need to get some equipment.

1. You can get yourself a Slotted Muffer at Payon Dun 4. Then head to the Sunken Ship for a Wisper Card for some flee

2. Then you can get your Slotted Guk bow. I recommened getting the Mocking Muffler first before you try to attack the Orc Archers.

3. Get your self the slotted Tights and the card you like with it.

4. Don't forget the boots.

Don't spend over 2 days in getting these items, since you are at high level, it won't take no more then 45min to get these items and have them on your inventory

Now at level 60 or 70. You can each brave the Courtyard first, but I recommend Payon Dun 3 or Pyramid lvl 3. Just level up until you get almost to level 80. Also note, the monster you'll be killing to get to level 80, should be easy for you since you got high DEX and a fairly great AGI. Also, keep adding to AGI no matter what. You need that flee.

Once you get to base 80. Here is what I did, reset your stats and get 99 AGi and the rest on DEX. THen head to the courtyard and start leveling up to 90. All in this while, add the rest of your points to DEX. Once you reach 90. You can add to LUK for that falcon attack and head to the prison.

Remember still, never need to use double strife or Trap mine. The journey from 80 to 99 will be a long one. So remember that.

Once you get to 99 become a high novice

High Novice

Basicly, the very same thing as a regular novice, but must easyer. Get yourself the highest dagger your noivce and hold at lvl 1. And use that to get to High archer, also remembering to add only to DEX untill you are 80 DEX then to AGi

High ARcher

Basicly the very same thing, get your bow, attack the payon zombies, get skills, head to orc, finish off your archer class and become a Sniper.

Sniper

Since you have alot of DEX and AGI as a sniper, you can start skill zombies at a very low level at GH. That makes the sniper class very easy to level up. All and all, you never ever have to use Double Strife or any Traps. I like it when people come up to my Sniper and ask "You got a Doupple Card?" I'll say, nope, I just got alot of AGI and with LUK, falcon will attack and that will make any monster die out early.

Well, there is my way of leveling up a archer/hunter/sniper and I never had to use the skill DS, AS, nor AS.

So, what is your best way ov leveling up your best class?

The overuse of skills to get higher levels results in Lag majorly, by offering alternatives to these skills helps not only players be better players. But helps the server's stability as well. ^^ good work

omgwtfbbq - wizard ( only j/k/iRO based! )
there are mainly 3 types of wizards but can be combined!
-Ice + Thunder are usually kick ass!
-Ice + Fire is a bad mix
-Fire + Thunder is ok, but not that good
-Ice + Thunder + Fire can be great in a lot of ways!

Here is what i think you shuld do(j/k/iRO based)
If you want to be an Ice + thunder(which own)
1)Start by making a new character, Put it into INT and DEX 3rd can be your choice but usually AGI

2)When you turn mage get a main guache(or the best dagger you can use for your level!)

3)Go to where ever you choose(I suggest ant hell, kill eggs there) atleast least get your job level to 10 or 12

4)Get napalm to level 4 then you would have 7 skill points left(if you stopped at job 12) then get Soul Strike to level 5 and save rest of the skill points.

5)Your stats should be put into INT untill you reach level 25, then make dex 30 and rest into INT.

6)Now go to payon dungeon level 1(if you can take it)

7)You would want to ask a friend(if you don't have any zeny) to buy/borrow you an ARC WAND or some sort.

8.Kill zombies untill they start giving you 5% or less, then progress to the 2nd level of payon dungeon

9)YOU HAVE TO put skills into : Cold bolt 5, Frost Diver 10, and Lightning bolt 5-10! You will also want Sight + Increase SP recovery

10)When you have gotten enough experience you will want to go to agropies and level.

11)The order of skills you want to cast are agropies is, Frost diver(till frozen) then use lightning bolt. Repeat if needed!

12)Keep killing agropies untill you have the level you desire, i suggest you change at job level 50.

13)When you turn wizard, kill agropies the same way as step 11 untill you have job level 20-40 you probably want to stop at 30

14)Skills ---> : Jupitell Thunder 10, if you want get Lord of Vermilion, Storm Gust 10, Water Ball 5, Sense 1. Then get any skill you want.

15)Now for your stats if your a high level(k/iRO, level 99) and want instant cast your stats should look like this ( KEYWORD SHOULD )

STR - 1
AGI - 9
VIT - 1
INT - 60-70
DEX - 99
LUK - 1
YOU MIGHT HAVE LOW MAGIC DAMAGE

but if you want massive magic damage heres your stats

STR - 1
AGI - 9
VIT - 1

Fire + Lightning + Ice(Excellent in many ways)
1)Start out by making a new character, INT, DEX, AGI or you could STR AGI DEX/VIT till you hit first class and reset.

2)When you level up as a novice and have enough basic skills to turn into a mage reset your stats(if you went STR AGI DEX/VIT) and go buy the best dagger you can use/buy

3)Go to ant hell and kill some ant eggs. (Till job 10/11)

Assassin Cross in 2 days or less! ((Dagger sin))

Heyya ^^, i'm not expert on this class, only being 115 and all, But i was max lvl assassin back in IRO when I played so i've had alot of experiance anyway ^^

So, for those that want to try out this fun, if over used class.../sigh...I remember being one of the only assassins ><! lol anyway ^^ without further ado, Here ya go ^^

Novice
Well, as a Novice in qrRO, your very lucky, it only takes about 3-4 mins to make job 10, so I would sujest hidden 1, Fabre room ((thats the first room on your left when you enter hidden 1)) ((Put all your stats into AGI untill you get 99 agi))

Keep killing there, you should end up with atleast 3-5 fabre cards, and a few emeralds.

Now, at job lvl 10, head to Morroc to change jobs ((I say Morroc because that is the thieves home ^^)) then head to your right to the weapons vendor, sell your emeralds and fluffs and what not, and buy a main gouge (sp) Stick as many fabre cards as you can in it and head back to the warp in at Morroc to buy some concentration pots. Handly little blighters those are.

Now, having done that head back to hidden 1 and kill Lunatics till you have maxed double attack (( Lunatics are one room to the left of Fabre)) You should have around 300 hp by now and some carrots.

Head to the poporing area, (( right from entery of Hidden one, then up one, they are the green porings, you'll know what I mean)) and fight one, careful now, this may not work the first time for everyone, but it did for me. when you kill it, you'll gain quite a few lvls, just continue to rape poporings until the room is empty. maxing out skills like Improved Dodge, 5 in hide, sneak, steal, and envenom

If the room empties out, move north one room, and kill steel Chonchons, What out though, these WILL assist each other. After about 20 minutes or less, you should be job lvl 40.

Head to Pront, change jobs and dye your colors deep red! lol, thats not nessacary, but still makes you look sexy ^^. anyway, go to that same Morroc weaponshop and buy a Jur, they are cheap enough. also find one of those item improving NPCs and buy 5 enveratcon things and have the slot man add another slot to the jur.


Here is where you do some item hunting, Hunt down Sohee in Payon 4-5 for a slotted garment, and wispers for their card ((You'll need to enchant posion to kill whispers)) Also, hunt Munaks on payon 3 for slotted boots. all this time, max your left hand and right hand mastery, and your posion line of abilities, aswell as katar mastery and sonic blow. Keep a look out in Payon 3-5 for Soilder Skeletons, they drop cards that give +9 to your crit rate, thats awsome, get 3 of them and add them to your katar, that should give you around 30 crit. you'll want around 53-55 crit in order to score criticals on nearly every attack, so add a few sapre Status points to LUK every now and then, but for now, 30 will be fine.

after you get these, head back to morroc and buy theif clothes, nice and cheap clothes for ya. then head to the Orc Dungeon 1 to gain some fast lvls, save any emp you find so you an slot your thieve clothes. stay in Orc dungeon until around 70, it will happen fast. then head to Clock Tower basement 2 and fight high orcs, carry a few healing pots with you, cause they will hurt at first, but stick with them till around 85, then ((your agi should be maxed by now)) GO reset your stats, and put everything into Dex, just max dex, and then add the rest into int. You've just become an Assassin based SOLELY on sonic blow. Head to clock tower lvl 4, and fight everything, Don't stop using SOnic blow, just keep at it! lol. carry Yggdrasil berries in stacks of about 20 at a time to refreash SP, but just don;t let up. you should make 99 in about 2 hours.

Now! go become a High novice, same thing all the way, only at 70, instead, head to Hidden 3, and use your new ability, Meater shower, to tear through groups of mobs at a time, ((also, you no longer need to worry about sonic blow)) Hopfully by now, you've atleast come across a dopple card, and if not...well just wait till you do before you become a dagger sin. dagger sins don;t crit, but they hit as fast as katars, and can potentially do more Damage. I use Gladius' a phreeni card in each, dopple and exe card in one, and Drake and exe in the other. THis gives you increadable damage, and you can dish it fairly fast too!, once your around lvl 106, you can fight in Beta MVP, target phreenis, they have relietivly low HP and are easily killed. just keep berries on ya. those can take ou to 120, from there I'd say Epsilion 1 for wandering samuri things, try to stay away from Pharoahs cause dagger sin's aren't built for those ><! such high Def

anyway, some gear to look out for, are Orc lord cards, but them in your slotted thieve clothes, Moonlight card in your boots, try to get either 2 speeder of 2 junkie clips, or one of each even, I'll tell you to get lord Kaho and Kakashis, but I don't use either, I use golden Sohee bells ^^ KAWAII! but we aren't here to clone me now, Lol. Epsilon can take you to the very highest lvl, it make take awhile, but this guide was only to get you to novice high basically.


Hope this is helpful, this was my personal experiance, if anyone else has any sujestions, then feel free to reply to this with them, or make your own guide, I use this guide with most of my characters and subsitiute Metoer shower with a Bapho card, Lol

mine is a VERY generic guide for all classes:

NOVICE
KNOW YOUR STATS AHEAD OF TIME! know which stats for which class!
anywise, go to south of pront. kill monsters down there and kill as many pupas as you can. you NEED their card for later. when you reach jlv 10, change jobs.

1st CLASS
now get some slotted "armor" and put your pupa card into it. get healing items, GOOD ones. ygg berries are usefull. go to hidden dungen 2 (for now that's where while the monsters are all messed up...) and kill Poporings, healing as nessary. theoretically, you need to only kill one and heal when you get low. when that's dead you'll have lv'd up a good amount. kill a second and you'll find you don't need to heal as much this time. repeat on a third and so on untill you are getting less than 50-75% exp per kill. go to hiddentemple 1 and fight horns (no idea which way.. first room right?) or you can fight dustinesses (submitted by David for the reason:

they give WAY more exp and they are almost the same as the horns+better drops

. kill them until you get to jlv 50. go to pront and change jobs.

2nd CLASS
get your 1 mil. and buy some ygg berries. go to clock tower 1 and fight bathories, healing when nessary. continue until blv 85-90ish, or when you think you can take on alarms. make sure you have plenty ygg berries and go to clock tower 4. kill alarms, perferably one at a time. heal as nessary. continue till blv 99. go to valkyrie and change job to novice high. repeat above and then go to the next section i have here.

100+
MVP rooms. gotta love em. train there, with i suggest phree's in beta 1. then eventually move up until epsilon. after that you are on your own.


ALTERNATE for 2nd CLASS
you should be aroun blv. 55. get a lot of ygg berries and go to epsilon 1. ... no i'm not kidding, EPSILON MVP ROOM 1! theoretically, if you can take on ONE MVP at a time, and , with a good deal of ygg berries, you can kill it. continue till blv 99. then use MVP rooms as needed if you are doing this as a 3rd class.

insted of the horns kill dustiness they give WAY more exp and they are almost the same as the horns+better drops.

er... another guide for wiz... centered on the server B2.
1: TAKE ADVANTAGE OF RESET GIRL! go all out STR until you get enough money for a reset, no matter what as a mage. as a novice, apples are GREAT healing items. killl stuff around geffen until jlevel 10. do the mage quest (yes, this involves warping) and look at the next step!

2: as a mage, you can begin to add INT. for now, don't bother with DEX. get napalm beat at 4, soul strike at 10. kill poporings for a while (base 25-ish) and go one scren south and right of payon to soul strike eggryas. at around base level 40, I had enough money to reset (due to "unknown reasons") so I reset my stats and skills. at this point, soul strike becomes a waste of 14 skill points. those are better put into a maxed out firewall. then attempt to get frost diver and thunder bolt maked as quick as you can. kill alarms in clock tower 3 by doing the following:
A. Fire wall so they bounce off it. you will need to re-firewall between attacks (you will figure out the time limit eventually)
B. frost diver until frozen
C. unleash a massive thunder bolt for a decent 3-4k damage (depending on stat build).
once you get to job level 50, go to the wizard quest in geffen.
the following are ESSENTIAL for success (IMO)
about 15 white potion
5 panacea
skills:
lv 10 firewall
lv 10 thunder bolt
lv 10 frost diver
and a phen clip is nice....
at this point, my stats were:
69+ 11 int
the rest into dex
figure out how to do the wiz quest yourself... I hated it

level up your job level to 75 on clocks once you become a wiz using same alarm technique (only use jupitel thunder rather than thunder bolt)
when you get to job 75 (not a laughing matter) pat yourself on the back for doing a difficult task. this is my favorite part

bug hag to get Axon to change your job to high wiz

have fun with a jlevel 1 high wiz.
well, this is at least the plan I have for now (my wiz is only at 54 job level)
but it REALLY teaches one how to play a wizard, rather than depending on GM cards and instant cast.

Lol ^^< and being 115, I havn't KILLED an incarnation Samuri, but I do around 300-400 a hit on them

As a crit sin I was able to lvl in Beta 1 at lvl 81, also at 104 I can take two incarnation samurai at a time, also I've been training in Epsilion 1 since lvl 97

I think Knight is the easyest to train...in that case train for a Knight then when u go to Novice High u can chanage to whatever u wan't!!!

and training method, I just go to hidden doungen 1 kill poring and fabre...then poporing...then horn...then doustiness...then sidewinders....till lvl 80 maybe! i think thats the fastest way to train...though if u wan't orc doungen at lvl 60-80 oh and at 80 i'd go to clock tower!!! weeeeeeeeee and get clips and training!

Um i have a good way for PVP wizards,
1> get a mistress card
2> insert mistress card to any headgear
3> get Stone Curse lvl 10
4> Get Meteor Storm lvl 10

(This mostly is effective for PVP 1 on 1) First, cast him Stone Curse(if you can get near them) When they turn to stone, now cast the freaking METEOR STORM lvl 10(Make Sure he is in the center of the METEOR STORM). I think you can cast meteor storm twice coz the effect of stone curse could take a while(They cant use Potions/berries while in STONE CURSE^_^).

Try this, maybe you will become a MASTER IN PVP.

PS. Get Frost Diver lvl 10 and Jupitel Thunder LVL 10 too. HEHEHE.
