Yeah, what kinda question is this? While you can clean up, MINIMAL space with Disk Clean up, Defragging, etc. You're going to get the most out of Hard Drive if you remove stuff.

Anime
Old Games you don't play often

And that's really all, System files don't take up 12843593784Gigs.

Oh, and what Size Hard Drive do you even have? Anything less then...oh 37Gig's means you should get a new one.

And go with Serial ATA, atleast 7,200 RPM.

try deleting temporary windows files - might give you that tiny bump you need.

you can delete everything inside these folders:
C:\WINDOWS\Temp
C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Temp
C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

other than that, you simply have to uninstall files or games or programs you no longer use - in Windows XP, you can sort your Add/Remove Programs by Size, to help.

And Delete the inactive folders that are still there after you uninstalled them

I have alot from things ive used >_>

internet explorer > tools > internet options

clear history > delete cookies > delete files
(this should clear out the windows/temp files faster)
with all that out of the way, your internet should speed up with a bump just like CM says, but this is an alternative of how to clear it (I think)

clear out a bunch of OLD programs that you rarely/never use
use spybot and clear out spyware, because they ALSO take RAM/disk space

Just Buy a new hard Disk.

plain and simple.
A revolution is not a dinner party, or writting an essay, or painting a picture or doing embroidery; it cannot be so refined, so leisurely and gentle, so temperate, kind courteous, restrained and magnanimous. A revolution is an insurrection, an act of violence by which one class overthrows another.

Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.

The Future belongs to those who believe in the power of their dreams
