Chrono Resurrection Discontinued

Chrono Resurrection has been discontinued, due to a cease letter by SquareEnix (wtf? why'd they stop their own creation being redone in 3D for them?!)

Anywho, they have a nice video trailer up. I recommend seeing it.

Noooo...Crono 3 ...whyyyyy.............

Based on those screenshots is Crono3 just a remake of CronoTrigger ?or does it have a different story?
