The Xbox 360 is soon to hit shelves in America, well soon might not be the right word but hey, whatever.
My general consensus is that it's really nothing THAT special. It's basically just like a big patch for the xbox. There's nothing really THAT new and exciting, although the fact of a new gaming console in itslef is exciting. I'm still interested to see how it's going to play out in the market. Xbox stated that their main goal was to have the Xbox 360 be a holsehold item almost like a toaster. From where I'm standing it really doesnt seem like they've quite obtained their goals yet, but who knows

I agree that it`s practically like a patch for the xbox. :turned:

I`m not going to buy one, but I really like how it looks.

I dont know if the XBOX360 will be such a hit, sure its coming out this year but from my understanding that its been pushed into production early do to the fact that the two new consoles (PS3 and Revolution) will be pushing the XBOX360 into a mudpile. So far, it might have problems next years and if it causes some glitches like the XBOX then there is no need to actually get one at all in my behalf.

xbox 360 reli isnt anything special the xbox 360 E3 was so dry all they talked about was xbox online / xboxlive and they said it was free. getting people all happy when the only thing free about xbox online is the buddy list feature and some more to actullly play a game online you have to upgrade/pay the fee

hahahahahhahahahahahahaa.... thats all? ouch, Microsoft sure is having BIG problems... that is why they are trying to push production to this year... they fear the REAL MASTERS OF CONSOLES AND GAMES. They know the truth and they arent liking it. I can say FUCK XBOX/360 because they have caused more suffering then happiness.

U wanna hear something funny? This fathers kid works for Microsoft and he got an XBOX 360 for FREE... and its the first one out in the market. This kid made Microsoft look like a fool... I respect him and how he make a monkey out of Microsoft.

To be perfecly honest, I hate X-box, Microsoft is a profit monger that cares nothing for the people who buy there stuff. Sony and Nintendo need to team up and destroy this threat to the Councle gameing world!!! Microsoft must DIE!!!! lol

it will be long before microsoft will break the dominance of sony and nintendo in the console gaming industry. so far almost 50% of the market shares on console gaming goes to sony.

as for me i have a PS2, Xbox and a Nintendo GameCube and was lucky enough to recieve one of the Prototypes of the PS3,(dad is a stock holder at Sony) I kinda like the PS3 than the Xbox 360.

ps:

i cant disclose the whole features of the new console from sony due to the fact that i only recieved an experimental model and that was for testing.

they will take it back after the initial tests for gaming are done.

Microsoft as a compony is somewhat good but there are too much problems when it comes to trying to take over the world like before. Its too problematic and that shouldnt be the case. XBox 360 might have its ups but as the creators of the console they have HUGE issues with the world. That my fiends is my .2 cent because that how much i will pay for an Xbox 360. Any less it would be better.

I feel that they are doing a few wrong moves with the XBOX 360.

first of all, the name is kinda bad - it was rumored it was to be called "Xenox" which I would have liked better than "XBOX 360" - it sounds like instead of spending money on naming the system, they spent it on cheap hookers and booze and at the last minute just said in a druken stuper "Let's just name it after the degrees in a circle!" (360 degrees would just mean they are in the same place...)

also, XBOX 360 will only be backwards compatible with "selective" games (probably "Halo", "Halo 2", and a few other good selling games [even though I found the story to "Halo" very craptacular]). Now, it will be the only console that is not completely bacwards compatible with its previous system.

The price, as well, is a major turnoff.

Yeah, I don't think $500 is good for a system.
Most likely, that's a false price (I am guessing $300), but still, $300 is way too much for a single system...

i'm thinking xbox 360 will be pretty good. BUT I AM A FREAKING DIE HARD MGS FAN PS3 and xbox 360 are tied in my book

Yah, that price is a little bit too expensive, especially when its not too backwards compatible. The console is no so bright like before and Microsoft is heading towards the Japanese market; most of those who live there and remembers from last years that they tried to sell the Xbox and it didnt went well, it sucked ass more than a prostitute who never clean up after every sex session. The PS3 and Revolution price will be priced for the consumers of all ages; new, young and old. I will believe that in the next year they will have problems from the start and because of false advertisement they might have some people suing or even boycotting Microsoft.

Ladies and Gentelmen in this poll... the word is out; the "Wonderful and Powerfull" XBOX 360 has officially CRASHED just 24hrs after its release. If all of you have seen the news (TV, vocal, or other) please post the link or exact article inj this forum so we can all read it and LAUGHT at Mr. Gate's mistake.

Never mess with the profesionals in consoles.

How has it "crashed"?

I know I have heard of two things so far:
1. It crashes alot mainly due to the brick of a power supply (supposedly suspending this in air via thread or cables fixed the problem?)
2. Microsoft is intentionally only shipping a slim amount of them to stores in order to create an fake "lack" of the console (makes people want it more, I guess, or something).

Either way, I don't think its start looks too bright.

You forgot to add, the firmware is just....crap...in-game you can't play MP3's or else you crash, and on some games if you bring up the side menu, it crashes. but firmware can easily be downloaded by xBox Live.

OUCH... thats got to hurt like hell on your paycheck. I feel sorry for you man, that should had happen to you but you where just being a Big Brother so I respect that. I have 2 other brothers below me and my older bro does gives us a Christmas present. Well, here are a few things Ive read and heard that will make people think on the question "WHY":

1) The INFAMOUS Blue Screen Of Death was appeared just after playing some of the "accepted" games that they supply.

2) The console IS NOT BACKWORKS COMPATIBLE. The only game that can be played on the XBOX 360 is Halo 2 and that is if it doesn't crashes.

3) People had complaned that after using it once they can't get it working again or it will just restart on its own without knowing just when playing a age,

4) For the Japanesse market; they are only providing 12 games for the XBOX 360. the count is 5 FPS's (First Person Shooters), Fighting games and 1 original. The Japanesse market has started to dought if Microsoft will sell like in the US.

5) Only 16% of the XBOX's sold had reported problems (most likely the others are playing Halo 2 like there is no tomorrow.)

6)The release date WAS "world wide", yet Australia will not recieve their until after New Years. (around the 2nd or 3rd Quarter of next year) Any ausies online please comment on this one because I am not 100% sure.

7) Only 50% of the XBOX's where sent to the world to be sold during the dateline.

So far, Microsoft as a company has done it again like the days when they where Monopolizing the world market for their own profits. So far, there are new gamong companies that are for XBOX Exclusive yet there is the company that did Halo (rumor that isn't accepted as a fact) will be making Halo 3 for the Playstation 3.

Other companies are still piss off that they dont have the actual specs for the consoles and that they are being restricted on what they can do. (That lil line works on all consoles.)

Right now there is no dougt; the XBOX 360 officially suck and BTW there is a video of someone sleghammering one after buying it.

MAKE PC GAMES NOT CONOSOLE GAMES the size of my chair

good graphiqs crappiest gameplay...microsoft are made for computers not consols

what fun is it when you get an xbox and the comp disides to release same game title on the pc lol :blink:
