To change your run mode:

1. Right click your qrRO icon
2. Go to properties
3. Click the compatability tab
4. Change it to something other than Windows98/ME with the drag down menu (You should probaly change it to the operating system you are running)
5. Click Apply, then OK, and close the window
6. Repeat this on all the shortcuts you use to play qrRO
Errors
====
Unknown Error
-----------------
This is an error window that will pop up and says Unknown Error at the top and something like "Gravity has done some bad scripting" with a long list of jumbled letters and numbers and ascii, then it has a copy option and close option. Close the window and you qrRO client will close. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE THE ERROR ONTO THE FORUMS IT DOESNT HELP ANYTHING. To fix these errors make sure you have met all the requirements found at www.quantumraiders.com/qrRO (being qrRO, qrRO Sakary, and qrRO most recent client fully patched, and only these clients in your directory) If you have no idea what that means just dont play other RO's with qrRO.
Note: This error can also be caused by some1 warping into PVP that has been activated in a non-PVP area, or a monster/costume/item was created or used in some way near you, if so, you don't have to do anything, some one else is just being a jerk.
Server Is Closed
--------------------
This comes up when you try to join a server from the server list. This means the server is down, you are not banned, wait for the server to come back up.
Rejected From Server
-------------------------
This comes up when you try to join a server, may be banned,but the server is probaly just full and can't take anymore players, or it may be down and sending you this message due to an error. Don't worry if you havn't done anything wrong on that server, and no gm has told you that he/she is banning you, you are not banned. Just wait for a spot to open up.
Failed To Connect To Server
---------------------------------
You may get this when joining any type of server, it means that you either are not on an internet connect, or the server you are trying to get onto, login, char, or map, is down. It is possible, but unlikely if you get this when connecting to the login server your account data has been deleted, check to see if the login server is up on the qrRO website.
Disconnected From Server
-------------------------------
The server crashed, or you crashed while you were playing or trying to connect to that server, the server may be down or restarting, simply wait for it to come back up, and make sure you didn't lose your internect connecting. This can also be sent for other server errors, like timing out, but you are not banned.
Incorrect Password
----------------------
You typed your password wrong, remember that it is case sensitive, meaning when you registered the account it will be exactly how you typed and confirmed it, if you have forgotten your password click the "forgot password" button on the eAthena controll pannel where you registed and it will be sent to the email you registered with. Remember if you type your password in wrong too many times you will be banned "Rejected" for a short ammount of time.
Unregisted ID...
-------------------
The account you are trying to log into either does not exist or has been completely deleted, make sure that you have typed the account name in correctly and that you have registed correctly.
You Have Been Banned By The GameMasters...
-------------------------------------------------------
You've been banned, your account has been blocked because you have broken a rule and caught. You can make a plea on qrRO General area, or look for reports of your rule breaking in the qrRO Report section so you can know what your being charged of. You will not be able to play at all untill you are unbanned.
Missing File Error
-------------------
A small pop up will come up when you try to warp to an area or when you try to run the qrRO client, it will say "could not find file" and give you an OK option, there may be more of these then your client will close, you didnt download the correct files, find the requirment list at www.quantumraiders.com/qrRO
Sprite Error
-------------
You dont see these much anymore...it will be a pop up that crashes your client and says "Could not find sprite" with an OK option, you need to download the qrRO client.
Incorrect Social Security
----------------------------
You get this error when you try to delete a character, you have to enter the email you registered with into the box, this is because the koreans use the SS for many of thier registrations. If you forgot your email you should be able to check in the master controll, or some servers have a command like @email that you should be able to see in the MOTD or the /help file.

Seeing item sprites incorrectly...

This means you do not have the newest qrRO client, and need to download it, are running the wrong compatability mode (see top of post), have multiple RO clients installed to your qrRO directory (do not do this!), or have a corrupted data folder
Corrupted Data folder?
--------------------------
This means somewhere along the line you have messed up one of the files in your data folder, one way to fix this is to remove all the contents of this folder, when you do this drag all the contents into a folder elsewhere on your pc, retry qrRO and see if the error is fixed, if not place the contents back into the foler
Is there a way to have multiple RO clients in my qrRO directory?

Not unless they are using the qrRO client and do NOT require you to install anything other than this, and the kRO clients. There are ways to use the same directory as qrRO, but that is more complicated and will be covered in a different section. It may require you to install or edit a file that will add an IP on your select server screen that will put the one you are trying to play next to qrRO.
Can I play qrRO with the iRO clients?

It is possible that you can PLAY qrRO but you will have many errors and it will not run correctly.
Client Closed

If your qrRO client closes without any warning or errors, then you have most likely been kicked by a game master. Re-start the application.
Switching between clients in the same directory...
---------------------------------------------------------
One way to do this is to save all the installers compressed on your pc, just incase something goes wrong. Then take all the files that overwrite and put them into serperate folders, be sure to keep the kROs's files also, when switching between server overwrite the files with the fresh kRO's files and then overwrite with the server you are trying to play. This will work with iROs's clients but not from iRO to kRO or vice versa.

PVP'ers in MVP

"People killed me in MVP zone" Yes, its a pain, and you lost exp or money, and you can't level blah, but MVP is a PVP zone, meaning if you kill some in that zone they has not broken a rule, and you shouldn't ask for them to be banned or punished because they have done nothing wrong. Too bad...get over it...
Lost Item In PVP Zone
--------------------------
Realize, that if you are killed in PVP zones in certain servers or places you will drop an item, entering at your own risk, that will be your loss for losing and thier prize for winning a battle, if you do not want to risk losing an item, do not enter the pvp zone or simply store those items and do not carry them into the PVP zone.

---------
Begging is the repeated asking or demanding for things via chat or pms, this means that they continualy ask you and others for money, tanks, levels, items, cards, etc... even when you tell them no to, or give them something. If they ask and stop asking you once tell them no, or are using a chat room this is still technicaly begging but not against the rules it is more of "asking"
Spamming
------------
Players repeat sending an exact message or messages over chat or pms, this is against the rule and should lead to cause the player being muted, this does not apply to a person simply talking fast, it is meant to be annoying or harmfull to another player.
Deal Spamming
------------------
This is begging and spamming put into one, a player repeativly requests deals with you so you will give them a valuable item or large amount of item, this is not only annoying but hindering to gameplay and breaks several rules
Guild/Party Spamming
--------------------------
This is the same as deal spamming, only not as severe. This is when a player repeatedly asks you to join their guild or party when you do not want to.

This means to not, use offensive language (cursing) do not say sexual things, this is a kiddies game, do not say racist or homophobic things, seriosuly isnt there better things you can do?
Saving...
=======
Taking Screen Shots
------------------------
To take a screenshot, when the image that you want to save is on your screen press the print screen button on your keyboard. This key (on windows type keyboards) is above the insert key, to the left of F12 and the right of Scroll Lock, the cluster of 3 keys above the 6 keys iver the arrow pad, I know some of you have a hard time finding it. When you press this in RO a message will come in you chat box confirming where the image was saved and what name, it should be in you kRO/ScreemShot folder saved as the name "server screenshotnumber". If you use this button in other games it will either save to their directory, or be like a copied image, which you will need to paste and save in a program like paint.
Taking Savechats
--------------------
To save all the chat that is still displayed in you text box type and send the command "/savechat" a message will come up in your chat box confirming this much like in the screenshot confirmation, with name and locations, it should be in your krO/SaveChat folder.
Saving PM's
--------------
If you use the pop-up pms, like me, and not the yellow pms that appear in your text box, simply use the "/savechat" command, except this time it will save to a kRO/Whisper folder, titled with the name of the person you were talking to, and chatbox number.
Posting On The Forums

Reports

Make sure you have good evidence/proof of the player(s) who are breaking the rules, this means showing who they are and what they are doing it by forms of unedited screenshots or savechats. We can tell if you edited them and lying can lead to problems for you. Then post these in the qrRO Report section of the forums with a short summary or explanation of the situation. Make sure that they are in fact breaking a rule. If you are afraid of being banned or punished for your post, you can send your proof and story to me and i will edit it and post it for you, ive got nothing to lose.
General Posts
----------------
Please only post things that are relavent, read all the forum Rules, and the Stickies, of the section that you are posting in. It may also be helpfull to read the hot thread s of that section, indicated with a red letter.
Polls
------
Do not make polls that have nothing to do with your post, make sure that you read how to make the poll and that they cover all opinions on the topic being voted on.
Spamming
-------------
Make sure your posts are relavent, have to do with the section or thread you are posting in, useless images and posts are considered threads.
Porn
-----
Don't post prono, hentai, or nudity of any kind you'll most likely be banned, unless you have "special" privledges.
Off-Topic
-----------
Don't make replies to posts that that don't have to do with the original thread, and do not support or continue to go off topic when these posts are made, this is very disrespectfull to the original poster.
Flaming
---------
Flamming is making posts or replying to posts that are breaking one of the other rules, basicly fights that could be taken privatly, or attacks on a person that are not backed up an are simply worded insults flung at a single person by one person or a group. Note this is different then debating some one over an incident as long as it remains on the persons qualities...for example a flame would be "you are a stupid person" rather than "you choose to ignore this event because you fear that there will be consequences" Flaming is always used as an Ace, beware...cough
PM's
-----
There is a private message system, linked as inbox, or in the member info that you can view by clicking on a persons name in their post. Do not make posts that do not apply to more than one person, you can send this message to him or her over the pm system.
Correcting Errors
--------------------
At the top of your post there is an edit button, which means you can change you posts at any time, also if you make multiple posts you can delete the text in them to save room. If you have enough privledges you can delete your replies. If you are the creater of the thread, at the bottom of the post you have the "Moderator Options" scroll menu to close, or delete those posts.
Forum Errors
---------------
When you get ANY forum error, mySQL, mail syntax error, etc... do not press back and re-post, even though you may not think it your post will be sent to the forums and will show up don't worry! Errors such as the 30 second error are normal, read what it says and follow its directions.
Search
--------
Before you ask a question on the forums, or make a post about something, always use the search button. Type in a few keywords of what you want and then read the topics that come up. If you don't people might get mad at you because the question has been asked and answered hundreds of times before
Titles
------
Make the title of your post a summary of what your post is, with the side comment a statement or longer summary about your post. This will help people search your topic or know what it is so they can read it.
