The Baltimore Ravens scored three touchdowns off turnoversby New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez(notes) and took a 34-17 lead after threequarters Sunday night.
Jameel McClain(notes) and Jarrett Johnson returned Sanchezs fumbles for touchdownsin the first half, and Lardarius Webb(notes) added a 73-yard interception return tomake 34-17 in the third quarter.
Sanchez was 8 for 23 for 112 yards and lost three fumbles in addition to hisinterception.
On New Yorks first possession, a blitzing Ed Reed(notes) sacked Sanchez and forcedthe quarterback to fumble on first down. McClain took it 6 yards into the endzone with 11:58 remaining in the quarter.
Joe McKnight(notes) returned the ensuing kickoff 107 yards for the longest play inJets history, going untouched until Chykie Brown(notes) grazed him at the 2.
Joe Flaccos(notes) 52-yard completion to Rice gave Baltimore the ball at NewYorks 27 and set up Billy Cundiffs(notes) 38-yard field goal with 6:27 left for a10-7 lead.
After a Jets punt, Ray Rice(notes) ran in from the 3 to complete a 59-yard drive.Flacco connected with Rice on third-and-8 for a 12-yard gain and completed a28-yard pass to Anquan Boldin(notes) to set up the score.
In the second quarter, Sanchez mishandled a high snap and Baltimores PaulKruger(notes) recovered the ball at New Yorks 23, setting up Cundiffs field goal fora 20-7 lead.
Haloti Ngata(notes) sacked Sanchez and forced a fumble, and Johnson returned theloose ball 26 yards to make it 27-7 with 8:11 remaining in the half.
David Harris(notes) intercepted Flaccos pass and returned it 36 yards for NewYorks second score and, after a Baltimore punt, Nick Folk(notes) kicked a 40-yardfield goal to bring the Jets to 27-17 just over 2 minutes before halftime.
