I know, some of you are going "SWEET FRIGGEN YES!" while some of you are saying "Well, the game was interesting, but the entire thing was stupid." Well, here's the thing: I'm going to try to take the best of the two games, but replace the mindless and childish things with fun, exciting and "more mature" things.
Example:
Instead of being just a good person, you can be more of a "neutral" if you want to be, or even "evil" (HapRish, I'm thinking that'll perk your ears up
). For instance, Bob (yes, what a great name for a character) can easily snag a job at the bank to tote money back and forth between banks. He can do the proper thing and do that or just take the money for himself and be wanted. Another possible thing to happen would be that while Bob is toting the money from Bank A to Bank B (yes, very detailed) he is instead attacked by evildoer Skempel (
) and Skempel steals the money.
Thus, instead of wandering from town to town as the only real thing to do, you can get jobs, rob people, gain bounties, [dis]respect, etc. I am also thinking of the idea of allowing people to steal monsters from other players.
Of course, I am thinking of making this online (perhaps coding it in Java and making it browser-based, similar to RuneScape).
If you think this is a good idea, let me know! You can also submit your comments, questions, ideas, whatever works
I just feel that the "feeling" of Pokémon was completely awesome, but they didn't go far enough with it (as in gameplay, etc.) but left it a bit light so that all kids could play it with an E rating (if they were to add in the things I am thinking about, a T rating would appear on the game and some parents wouldn't buy it
- but since mine is free...
)
