Hey now, It's done been said that they are not in the rat race with Xbox or the PS3 on tech. I know that the graphics will have to be at least as good or beter than RE4 or LoZ:Twlight Princess. Not to mention I love the classics, I can't wait.

Well, I think that the Revolution is the best system of the new next gen ones. I mean over 20 years, 50,000 games on one system? and the kid games arguemnt, I happen to like kid games cause I'm tired of killing vertual people and stealing cars. the most revolutionary games that I've played are so called kid games. For instance, Animal Crossing (I coudnt pry the controler out of my hand if I wanted to lol) I think just cause some thing is marked to a younger age, that it shoudnt receve compusive ridicule.

That was the intention of the first nintendo game creators. If those who have seen Game ICONS on G4 they would see the original man who created most of the games we love and will never forget. Shigeru Miyamoto; the GODFATHER of OLDSCHOOL Nintendo. Without him there wouldnt be a Nintendo company and Sony wouyld had been King of Home-Base Consoles (discluding Microsoft as a console company). In reaity, Nintendo has made its plans since the dawn of games (soft of) and they have been planing since Sony came into play. Right now, its for us couch potatoes, gamers and players (not the pimping kind) to sit back and just watch a great show because this will be the best years of our lives.

The Nintendo Revolution is supposedly schedule for release along Q1 or Q2 2006. It will come with free online gameplay similar to XBOX Live, but at no charge. Super Smash Brothers will be a launch title, meaning it'll be one of, if not the, first game[s] to be released for the Revolution.

Nintendo has been placing alot of money into a company that deals with gyroscopes (I forget the name of the company). From this, I am going to presume that the controllers with have gyroscopes inside them. I'm sure you all have seen little kids playing racing games, such as they stick their tongues out and literally tilt the controller to the way they are trying to turn to - I am thinking that with the gyroscope, actually turning the controller might actually help you steer the vehicle or whatnot; that's just my idea, though.

Anyway, September 16 ~ 18 is when ALL of the Revolution will be unveiled at the Tokyo Gaming Show - the anticipation is killing us. They have said that they will be revealing the controller for the system and will be demonstrating "Mario 128" (no title yet, that I know of).

They also will be showing off the Nintendo DS' online capabilities (or so I am told they will)

True to that yet Im worried on the new controler that is out... sure it looks cool and it has its fun features but I cant imagine any fighting game played in that controler, even metroid games... im still in the olf controlers they had made for the gamecube which is ok for a lot of the games. The only thing i see good about it is that a few games will benifite the new controler like Zelda and some kids games. A lot of the Teen to Mature games migth have to make their own version of the conrtroler to work like Super Smash Bros. Melee. Yet overal this is a must buy system like the PS3. Ill save up the cash for those consoles in do time...

um... let me tell a historical story:

a good many years ago, Nitendo was comming out with a new sytem. they were the only console company on the market. they decided to join forces with Sony, and make the awesomest console ever! during the concept/planning phase, Nintendo and Sony decided to no loger work together; they split up. Nintendo went on to complete their system, now known as the "Nintendo 64".
and Sony? they took the ideas and tech they had learned from Nintendo and produced the "Playstation".

so my point?
no nintendo=no playstaion consoles and no microsoft consoles. heck NO colsole whatsoever. unless some other company thought of the idea in a good deal of time.

Sure Nintendo and Sony where together (for a small momment) yet there where some contraditions because Nintendo is a cartrage company (by many of the old-school gamers) and Sony was just getting out of the TV and VCR stages and here is a question: If there where no consoles or even the invention of consoles, could you imagine if they never invented the computer? Mind you, computers = cellphones and advanced technological things we have now and these new consoles have been a test for the new CPU's, videocards and also testing new inovative ideas. I know it might not make sense but its just a thought i had to say.

lol, computers have been around longer than you think just not pc's, now i'm sure, of course, that many tricks of the trade were learned when making these consoles but there certainly would still be computers and other devices you mentioned. and what are consoles but computers themselves that are wired just like them?

Sega did have their CD based systems before Nintendo and Sony.

If it is true what they say, the Revolution might sell extremely high amounts and the new controller might be the 'new thing' such as the Analog stick and rumble features were a while ago.

Good info and good comments. That will mean that the Revolution and Nintendo has kept it "under the raps" really well for the Revolution and will be beneficial to the upcoming year because if the specs where released then Sony would had to mimic or even push the envelope even more just like they are doing to the Xbox 360.

Ladies and Gentelmen in this poll... the word is out; the "Wonderful and Powerfull" XBOX 360 has officially CRASHED just 24hrs after its release. If all of you have seen the news (TV, vocal, or other) please post the link or exact article inj this forum so we can all read it and LAUGHT at Mr. Gate's mistake.

Never mess with the profesionals in consoles.
