radiation poisoning or in correct and scientific terms Radiation Sickness happens when a person is exposed to dangerous levels of radiation.


first simptoms are the uncontrolable internal bleeding due to the collapse of the cell walls in the capillaries. then DNA Mutation, then if it comes to the worst, cancer, but most people who are with Rad sickness die due to internal bleeding, before they get to cancer stage. that is if they are exposed to very dangerous levels of radiation.

well basicly its went the body starts to break down cause radiation is mainly taking and electron from a another atom resulting in destrcution of the element or a change of the element to another element.

so basicly ur bodies atoms are changing messing up ur cells making them unfunctional leading wut their not supposed to do and eventually u'll die a long horrible painful death

that is alpha and beta radiation. alpha and beta rad is the result of the breakdown of highly unstable radio isotopes of some elements like Uranium and Plutonium.

Gamma Radiation consists of waves traveling at ultraluminal speeds (that means faster than light). alpha and beta rad can be deflected by the skin. Gamma rad requires 5 inches of lead.


the effects of gamma rad to the cells is like being microwaved, only at much higher frequency and shorter wavelength, thus bringing the utter destruction of the cell walls, but does not bring your body fluids to boil. (it can if exposed to long lets say 5 mins)

dying of gamma radiation exposure is likened to being microwaved for 1 hour.
