In this world of emptiness there is no form, no feelings, perceptions, impulses, or consciousness. No eye, ear, tongue body, or mind. Therefore, no color, sound, smell, taste, touch, or thought. The world of form does not exist, nor the world of the mind or of ignorance; no old age and no death.

When the mind does not become attached to anything, there are no obstacles and fear does not exist. This mind goes beyond all disruptive views and attains Nirvana

Mountains are pointy because of erosion and volcanic activity.

AIM just currently is the most popular.
If you like Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, IRC, Jabber, Google, whatnot, you can use them - no one is stopping you.

If you want to use many of them, GAIM might help out - http://gaim.sf.net

or trillian http://trillian.cc Gaim and Trillian are almost the same things, but Trillian has more of a flashy design, but Gaim supports more types of connections to differant messanger company's.

I personally recomend gAIM, but if you wish you can use Trillian.

Yeah, as others said its just a matter of current interest. Also, Yahoo is very flashy, imo, flashy and 'complicated' things scare the regular 'a/s/l/' users (AKA, Idiots).
