Step 1:
Open your server, let it completely load. After you've done that...proceed to step 2.
Step 2:
Open your qrRO client. Than use ALT + Tab and return to either the char-server or map-server. Let it run for about 20 seconds.
Step 3:
Use ALT + Tab and switch back to your client. Login to the server list. If your server is up, you'll see it. *CAUTION: DO NOT LOG ON ANY OTHER SERVER BUT YOUR OWN. IF YOU DO IT WILL LAG THE PEOPLE ON YOUR SERVER AND/OR CRASH IT (SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE HERE)!*
Step 4:
Use ALT + TAB and switch back to one of the server programs. Doesn't matter which (it will later). Let it sit for 15-20 seconds.
Step 5:
OK! Now heres where it can get somewhat annoying. Use ALT + TAB to switch back to the qrRO client and select your server. QUICKLY, switch to your char-server. If you don't...it'll lag and/or crash your server.
Step 6:
After you see your account has loaded on the char-server program. Use Alt + Tab and switch back to your client. Select the character you want. Quickly switch back to either server...doesn't matter (I usually switched to map-server). While at either one of the server programs, you'll see the client loading...it'll get close to 100% and stop. Switch back to client with ALT + TAB. It'll finish loading and you'll see the map.
Step 7:
So your on...but it lags horribly? Ok, when you idle...ALT + TAB to map-server. You can still read the text.
*I wont joke around, there is a good chance people wont be able to login while your logged in. But hey, atleast your having fun, right?
Edit: Another way mentioned which is a tad easier and not as much fun...lol was suggested below by Matthew...
1. Load up the server (char and map) and wait for it to load
2. Open the task manager and go to the processes tab
3. Right-click the process "char-server.exe" and select "set priority"
4. From the list, choose "High"
5. Repeat this for the process "map-server.exe"
6. Start-up your game, and login perfectly!
Also note that now, other people can login while you are playing!, this is because your CPU has slighly more power on the server than your game.
Hope that helps!
From Matt
