sheesh... im a 14 year old hard working kid ... lol
108 $ every 2 weeks ... hard-earned money (part time job)
9& hour ... 6 days a week ... janitor of a chips company. (Frito Lay's canada)

not bad huh? thats ... 216$ a month for a 14 year old ... MUWAHAHHA! :lol:

Meh, I get no allowance, and I really have no problem with that....why should anyone get an allowance really....If your parents are paying for your housing after you've moved out thats a little sad...especially if you have kids. If you are still living with your parents their paying for basically your life support, food, water, shelter, ect. I think an allowance is just a guise to get you to like them better....meh who knows. But being so materialistic as to think money=life...is really just ignorant. Granted in a literal sense you do need money to live, enless you live off your land, with no electricity or running water. But can you buy your way to eternal life...hell no. Do you think that when you die your money is just going to magically float up with you and it will be substantial for all your "afterlife" needs?
Money in the metephorical sense is only as important as you make it, You live by barely having any money at all and still be happy

i heared that so often, it lost meaning to me... i mean, i bet you'd be happy also if you got a few million dollars to spend... and don't lie about it. It is true that if you get everything you need, you will get bored someday. Money is not everything, but it can do a LOT.

money can't buy happiness, but it can buy things that can make me happy.

money can'nt buy love, but it can buy things that can make your loved one love you more.

seriously, money isn't just a peice of paper with some famous guy's image, it is the representation of the value of objects, lets just say that $10,000 is one gold bullion, (a bullion is 5 lbs of 24 karat gold)then, what is heavier to bring and difficult to transport, trade , and use.

obviously the paper ccurrency is the best choice, would you rather have Clams in your pocket rather than paper money?

you guys will eventualy learn the real importance of money.

6.50 per hour for 5 hours a day ($32.50)
6 days a week ($195.00)
for 4 weeks (month) ($780.00) per month
you get 780 that's over 5.4162905353794875355878064023332 times what you are earning.
and 780 per month isn't even enough to rent an apartment in New York.
You'll need 2 buddies to help you pay for it. and minimum wage here is shit
once you hit 16 or 18.
Pay Checks are insane at like 12 to 26 per hour
that's almost $1436.44 to $3120 per month, possibly more.
and cell phone bills is $40-50 ($3070)
about 1800-2000 per month for house ($1070)
and like $200 for the month for food ($800)
and only about $150 per month for a cable TV/internet and phone service ($650)
and after that you can get an AC ($300-400) and a matress to sleep on (15-40)
and some more foods, dates, etc. (100-200) totaling (415-640) leaving $10 for the month

Importance of Money

First purpose of money is to use LESS BULK (meaning to carry less)
nobody wants to carry gold chunks for trade (because 1) Gold loses value
2) The value of gold is never exact 3) Gold is very bulky and heavy)

Second purpose is to prevent overuse of anything
if an entire sheep meat was worthless, how fast do you think we'd waste it and eat it and soon realize that it did have a value in the first place?

Thirdly, without money we wouldn't have a social class to identify who is more worthy of what item to what item
